Hey! I’m Kevin, a world traveller from Canada. I’ve been to 50+ countries around the world. I love to meet new people of different backgrounds and cultures. I would love to meet visitors and show them the best of Toronto. I live in the City Center of Toronto and have a spare bedroom so I figured I’d offer it to travellers visiting Toronto!

I work in IT consulting in the financial district (10 minute walk away). When I’m not working, I enjoy going out and being with friends. Whether it’s for food, drinks, live music events, or music festivals. When the weather isn’t great, I also enjoy staying in doing activities like cooking, gaming and catching up on Netflix. I have previously done Muay Thai for many years, and now have been doing jiujitsu for a couple of months.

Even though I’m still relatively new to couchsurfing, I’ve learned a lot thus far. So to make things easier and ensure we’re the right fit, I’ve put together a list of thing to know before requesting to stay with me:

1. Length of stay - Please request no more than 3/4 nights. If we get along we can discuss extending for a bit. But I do not host long term stays nor provide indefinite housing, as I am not interested in living with a roommate.

2. Dates of stay - Please know/request the exact dates you wish to stay with me. I don’t appreciate requests with a long range that ask me to pick the days.

3. Being Declined - Couchsurfing Hosts are not paid, so we only host when it is convenient for us to have guests. If I decline your request, it was most likely due to something on my end (busy with work, plans with friends, travelling etc.) and not about you. So please respect my boundaries and don’t try to argue/negotiate your stay after being declined.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

When I was in Fiji in 2023, I met a German man at a bar who after just two beers offered to host me in the Black Forest in Germany. Later that year I went to visit him and had the time of my life. He not only hosted me, but also took me out every day to explore the area. While in Europe I also met other friends who I had previously met abroad and they graciously hosted me or showed me around. Loved it.

I just recently learned about couchsurfing which is based on the same principle and would love to give back to the community.
