It is imperative that you adore dogs before requesting a couch from me because my six year old dog Santi (66lb/30kg) is very affectionate and will want your attention. If you don't like dogs then please refrain from sending me a couch request. He is usually with me at all times with few exceptions. I should have named him Shadow :P

I give preferential treatment to hosting couchsurfers wanting to spend more than one day in Alamosa/San Luis Valley. I understand just needing a place to crash for a night but that's what hotels are for. Bonus points if Turkish, Russian or Portuguese is your native language so you can share resources with me. I am more focused on Turkish at the moment because I have a trip planned for Türkiye (by far my favorite country I've been to).

I can take you hiking, rock climbing, cycling, hot springs, stargazing or skiing/snowboarding in and around the San Luis Valley if my schedule allows for it.

I enjoy the outdoors no matter the weather but also love being rewarded after my outdoor adventures by being super cozy indoors with a good meal, book, hot tea and engaging conversations. I like to dance and party without drinking or using drugs. I much prefer to be sober but won't judge you if you're prefer the party lifestyle.

I love nature and rural parts of the world. Most of the time I will be in smaller towns and villages soaking up the ambiance and serenity and partaking in outdoor activities that get my body moving. That being said I enjoy visiting vibrant and bustling urban centers as well from time to time to visit community spaces, used or radical book stores, libraries and unique third spaces.

Take me to theatres, operas, concerts, poetry readings and art events even if I don't understand the language. Most importantly, I enjoy spending time with locals and immersing myself in local cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Some of the strongest, most fulfilling relationships I have ever had were in someway linked to Couchsurfing. I literally spent my entire adult life using Couchsurfing and honestly cannot imagine my life without it.

I get a lot of inspiration from books.

I am almost exclusively watching movies in Turkish or Russian for the comprehensible input. My all time favorite movies happen to be musicals because I grew up watching them as a child with my great grandmother and mother which gives me a huge sense of nostalgia.
