ABOUT ME
Man, this profile is so outdated. I don't know if I'll have time to edit that.
Hi, I'm Nicolas, a fairly young french man working in Paris as for now.
Multi-cultural (a bit), I have multi-interests going through music, photography, some sport, strolling randomly in Paris, enjoying some cultural events and finally saying a lot of sarcastical and ironical bullshit oh and beer also.
Well, cs is about having the opportunity to meet some new people for me and make the best of a travel (landscapes and architecture are without any doubt pretty cool, but people make it better).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to host some people when I can and when I feel like it obviously. That's mostly it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been hosted by some really nice people in the US, NYC and California, met some people I'm still in contact with so all in all I'm pretty happy with the little experience I had. I hosted a few people, it's always been some nice time. Did not participate to a lot of events but I've met some couchsurfers outside the host/surfer carcan, had some pokers with people in Paris, went hiking with a dude in Vancouver, offered a concert to the Paris group some people came. Those kind of little things, not really active on the groups though.
Interests
I'm a music enthusiast (as in I can't stand a day without music and in I'm really interested by the artists I listen to). Mostly Hip Hop music, for a lot of reasons. The fact that it's a music emerging from a whole culture (and a culture I enjoy for the most part), the fact that it's influenced by all type of music, the fact that some MCs are just poets, the fact that the word conceptual can take all his sense in an album.
I enjoy (and I listen to) all types of music anyway, classical, pop, rock, punk, folk, reggae... Just need to be good (to my ears).
All kind of cultural stuff, discover, learn.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is surounding me everytime I can. Which would be a good 4 to 6 hours a day. Don't understand a life without music, must be really dull.
I'm not a reader for a long time, I'm trying to fill the gap those six last years (thanks Paris transportation system). So my literary culture is not really thick. I like authors like John Irving, Albert Camus, Douglas Coupland, Nick Hornby, Franz Kafka, Milan Kundera, Ernest Hemingway, Jonathan Franzen, Boris Vian, James Joyce.
Movies hmm, I like things like Full Metal Jacket, Jay And Bob Strike Back, Clerks, The Virgin Suicides, Funny People, The Social Network, Kidulthood, Alpha Dog, There Will Be Blood, City Of God, The Strangers, The Game...
I'm always up for one which doesn't need the brainy thingy on, I have to say that I laughed a lot on Transformers (wasn't supposed to happen uh?).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Amazing is too big a word for me.
But the best things I've done were for sure travel related, mostly I would point out the people I met more than the things I've done. Let's just says that if I had to pick one thing it would be the time we entered Death Valley by the backroads during the shutdown of the governement so nobody to be seen on that part of the park, alone in the desert, the colors, the sunset, the dunes, the camp site, the sunrise, it was pretty cool.
Teach, Learn, Share
Nothing precise, meet and enjoy whatever aspect there is to share. Teach and learn from that.
