Fun fact: I never appreciate a local guide until a trip to Los Angeles this year. I've always thought that I can live with AirBnb and TripAdvisor/Yelp. However, a friend in LA took me around in only a day, and the one-day-adventure was so worth it. We went to the local bookstore, the Angle Flight, which never get to the tourist attraction list!
