Couchsurfing is an amazing site as the best way to get to know a new place and culture is by getting to know la gente (the people). It's also a great way to meet knew and interesting people at home.

I'd say I'm a great hostess, and have had many guests chez moi (unofficially) I love to share my language skills and knowledge of my bonnie wee homeland (Scottish slang) and more than anything take people out to get to know the locals.
What I Can Share With Hosts
I can share a cool Scottish city with warm welcoming people and a crazy difficult accent :) Also all museums in Glasgow are free. I also lived in Stirling for 4 years ( a very historical town known for William Wallace, *see Mel Gibson's movie 'Braveheart' if that doesn't ring a bell) so I can show you Stirling. It's also only a 40 min train/bus ride to the capital Edimburgo
