I would love to stay with some locals while I'm in Japan this year and get to know the local hangouts and fun places! I studied Japanese in school but never got to make use of it so maybe I can practice too :)

I prefer exploring off the beaten track when travelling, and enjoy making connections with people. For me, life is about always learning - about new places, people, culture, language etc. My latest outlet for learning is the martial art of Muay Thai, ask me about it!

I also want to meet up with people in my own city so I can pay it forward and share the same hospitality and local expertise with them.

Studied in Helsinki, Finland. Went to Estonia on a foreign reporting assignment and went to the remote countryside to visit a refugee centre and write about immigration.
