ABOUT ME
I am interested in way too many things. I love my profession and work a lot. At the same time I can't stop learning (eg Chinese, Machine Learning, teaching kids Math, finishing my PhD). I enjoy meeting people who are kind, who like relaxed conversations and who can tell me about something new and interesting. I love to discover new places, especially on a bike!
I live with my husband Adam, who is a powerful talker, a smart engineer, and a super friendly and witty person. Currently, we live in the San Francisco Bay Area and once we are back to Budapest (September 2019) we will host in our flat again.
PHILOSOPHY
So you think its all a mess? Even more reason to make things go your way!
Don't mistake movement for achievement. It's easy to get faked out by being busy. The question is: Busy doing what?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Above all, I like the idea of sharing and exchange in CS. I share what I am lucky enough to have: a beautiful flat in a beautiful old building and what I know about Budapest. And exchange ideas, find people who can show me how to be a useful participant in society. I like, that this community helped me prove that we should trust strangers.
I've traveled only a few times but hosted CSers many times, and I host bikers through another site called Warmshowers. Then I moved to China for a year, afterward moved to my boyfriend, where we couldn't host. Meanwhile, we renovated my flat in Budapest, then moved to the USA for a year, and once we are back to Budapest, we can continue to host interesting people!

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a special taste in films:
Scott Pilgrim vs. They shoot horses don't they?
Karamazov brothers for the way Dostojevskij described and grouped the characters
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
visited Ruigord (kind of a hippie art village) in the Netherlands
CISV as a kid
Teach, Learn, Share
I love Budapest: the old buildings, the colorful pubs and art. I know some of its hidden treasures and I enjoy showing around people. As a structural engineer and as an architecture-lover, I can explain some interesting buildings and bridges in Budapest.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love cooking and would be happy to cook for/with hosts. I'm vegetarian.
Both Adam and I have traveled a lot and lived in several countries and we have lots of funny and interesting stories.
Countries I’ve Lived In
China, Netherlands, Portugal
