Hi, I’m Mehdi 👋

I grew up in Rabat and moved to Europe years ago. I’ve been living for over 20 years between Madrid, Mallorca, and Barcelona (where I am for now), and I might be heading to Valencia next — I like to keep things flexible!

I work as a freelancer in tourism, which fits perfectly with my love for travel, cultures, and people. I’m a real food lover, enjoy hiking, and I’m always up for new adventures that come along the way. I’ve traveled a lot and visited most continents, and I’d describe myself as an easy, spontaneous traveler — no stress, no need to plan everything in advance.

I’ve always loved Couchsurfing because of the people. I’ve met amazing humans from all over the world, made great friends for life, and truly enjoy hosting or meeting locals. Whether it’s discovering a city together, sharing stories, or just having a drink at the end of the day, I’m happy to connect.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love Couchsurfing because it’s all about people and real connections. For me, traveling isn’t just about places, but about meeting locals, sharing stories, cultures, and everyday moments. Through Couchsurfing, I’ve met incredible people from all over the world, made friendships that lasted for years, and discovered cities in a much more authentic way.

I also love the spirit of openness and generosity — whether it’s hosting, being hosted, exploring together, or simply having a drink and a good conversation at the end of the day. Couchsurfing always reminds me that the world is smaller, kinder, and more connected than we think :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diving at Malapascua Island in the Philippines to watch the most beautiful sharks in the world: the thresher sharks.
Seeing them glide silently in the deep blue at sunrise was one of the most magical moments of my life — pure adrenaline, pure beauty, pure wonder.
