Overview
About Me
Hi! We are two nice people travelling to the US this summer!
Manon:
I'm an empathetic person from Liège, always wearing a big smile. I like meeting new people and believe that cooking for others is my love language. I'm also deeply committed to advocating for minorities and making a difference (at least I try). Can't wait to share stories!
Louis:
Easy-going man, I'm french on papers, belgian at heart.
I spent most of my life in north of France and Belgium, and sometimes lived abroad, in Ireland, Bosnia and Russia. Recently I moved to Brussels to involve myself in Extinction Rebellion and piss EU institutions off
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
You'll be sleeping in the living room on a sofa-bed, with a nice view on the river from the 5th floor. Access to shower and kitchen, and you are right in Liège city center
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Had always good fun, I couchsurfed mainly in UK and Russia, and the people I hosted in Lille and Liège were all v nice as well. I try to do my best to answer positively to requests, but I'm often away. Just ask!
Interests
Manon:
As a project manager in a cultural institution, I am responsible for organizing a variety of events (concerts, film debates, expositions, creative workshops, feminist meeting,...). I have a passion for learning and discovering new things. I'm a big fan of my hometown, Liège, and I love karaokes.
Louis:
Lifeguard, children animator, warehouseman, graphist, postman, I tried many jobs. I currently work as a lifeguard at the Outremeuse swimming pool, in Liège.
I like to escape from the cities I live in cycling to the countryside, or practicing any sport that can make me feeling away (swim, diving, run). Geeking is also a huge part of my life, as well as singing under shower loudly.

Music, Movies, and Books
Manon:
Music: I don't really know anything about it and I listen to everything. Music often brings me back to memories. In short: it's very eclectic, probably more pop-rock-folk (but I also like electro or dance hall) I love Pomme, Miley Cirus, Lil Nas X, Aloïse Sauvage, Angèle, Zaho de Sagazan, Dua Lipa, ABBA, musicals, JeanneTo, Aya Nakamura, Kalika,... (lots of women, therefore!). And I love discovering new artists. Favorite on the song “Ay Mamá” by Rigoberta Bandini.
Books: I love the world of books. I have a lot of them (novels, graphic novels, essays, etc.), often linked to feminist themes.
Louis:
David Bowie, Кinо, Rory Gallagher, Okean Elzyi, DDT, the Stranglers. The weirder the britter the better
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Manon:
I'm (still) alive and I like it
Louis:
Going drunk on a job appointment, and being employed
Teach, Learn, Share
Manon:
It's difficult to tell male and female hyena apart - they both have penises
Louis:
I recently discovered that nettles, strawberries and clovers were using the same process to reproduce themselves
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can discuss of the non-sense of life, involving oneself in good things or not, the supremacy of love upon everything... If that sounds boring to you, then we can cook things and talk about last Eurovision contest, or be quiet also
