I’m Kondwani, I’m a family man living in Livingstonia, northern Malawi. I live with my wife Floncin and my two kids Utukuf and Uwemi.
We would like to host couchsurfers in our village traditional home here in our community, while you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in our culture.
We have a spare room you could sleep in, but when that’s not available your free to sleep on our living room’s floor (unfortunately we don’t have a mat so that’s would be possible only if you’d have your own).
We don’t have a gas cooker, we cook on fire or braised. You’re free to use our utensil and kitchen, just be mindful that you’ll have to cook on fire :)
You’ll have the opportunity of visiting Livingstonia and places around the area such as waterfalls and go on hikes.

I’ve founded a community based organisation in 2020, Rise For Phoka CBO. The organisation focuses on projects directed to the community we live in as well as neighbouring ones. We work with elderly people and young women with the goal of giving them support in different ways.
You’d be welcome to visit our office and get to know about our programs!
