ABOUT ME

Hello! I am so excited about this new way in meeting different cultures :) I am 21 years old born and raised in Los Angles California but I attend college near the San Francisco area. I am in my last year of schooling and I’m currently studying abroad until December at University of Chester in the United Kingdom. I will graduate in June with my degree in Psychology and I will continue education to earn my Masters in Forensic psychology. A bit more about me… I am the youngest of 4 girls and 1 boy, I enjoy singing, dancing, and going to the movies and sometimes partying. I like to know different cultures and I put myself in different situations so that I can be more open minded hence is why I studied abroad :) I love meeting new people, I’ve been told I’m funny, and I like trying new things. I love cats, food, children and I’m afraid of heights. I open up to people more if I see that they are open and interested in knowing me as a person and not just were I came from. If you would like to know more please don’t hesitate to ask!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to the fullest because not others have a chance to do so, I know this saying is over rated but I don’t regret anything in my life really because it made me who I am today. Things in life will come at you and you may be overwhelmed at times but you have to take life one day at a time and in the end I have faith it will all work out for my good. I’m thankful for my life because although I’ve come from a lower income family background I am still succeeding and experiencing opportunities people would kill for. Therefore I’m taking these experiences and I will be more open minded and use it to my advantage and further myself in life.

Well, I just found out about this opportunity if it turns out to be a great experience for me I will let others know about it because I’m one of the spokespersons for the Studying Abroad program at my home University in America and here in the United Kingdom.

I love the Harry Potter movies, and I love the television series True Blood (check it out its amazing) and I enjoy all different genres of music such as Rock, Reggae, Christian, Hip hop, Soul, and Alternative music.

One amazing thing I’ve done so far in life is what I’m doing now! Traveling to different countries. Its amazing something most Americans do not do unless they are well off financially or rich, because usually people do not have the money nor the time to do so. So studying abroad is an amazing experience especially coming from my background.

I can show people how some Americans are and how we aren't the people portrayed on television and how our government doesn't totally reflect who we are as people. I would show them a different mind set and let them know what’s accurate and what’s fabricated. I would like to know peoples viewpoints on different subjects and what their culture teaches them.
