ABOUT ME

I work a lot, but I love what I do. I've lived in Chicago for six years and went four of those years without ever visiting the South or West sides of the city. I now work there at least twice a week. While I wouldn't consider myself a worldly person or one that is well-traveled, I certainly have exposed myself to invaluable cultural experiences here in Chicago. I work in the non-profit sector, and the organization I work for focuses on getting students in under-served areas back in school and back on track to graduate.

Outside of work I spend a lot of time with friends exploring Chicago and all the exciting opportunities it provides. My family lives in Kansas City, MO, so I've made a little make-shift family here in Chicago full of friends working as journalists, photographers, volunteers, actuaries, teachers. It's nice.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friends are long-time CouchSurfing participants and I've been lucky to partake in some very fun times with them and their CS guests.

Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a literacy tutor for six second grade girls. All six improved two grade levels in reading and comprehension. They were all very sassy.
