My name is Kristina I'm a poor college student at The University of Akron studying International Politics, Journalism, and Photography! My dream job is to work for the UN or be an international journalist I'm 4'11(not sure if that's legal midget height, but if you find out I would really appreciate it) Ever since I went to London, I fell in love with travel If we hangout, I'll probably try to take pictures of you (sorry been working on portraits lately) I am probably one of the most easy going people you'll ever meet I enjoy philosophy and world religion I love doing anything creative--writing, painting, photography, crafting, videography--you name it I like to go to raves & dance I make elaborate plans to work out, but only follow through with them half of the time I'm red-green colorblind I really enjoy movies, especially cheesy ones made in the 80s My most prized possessions are my record player and my camera I want to live in New York for part of my life I love to make and eat food One day I'm going to save my money and spend a few years traveling the world I listen to Oldies (60s, 70s, 80s, some 90s) and Indie Music from our time In my opinion, Piano Man by Billy Joel is the best song ever written I'm obsessed with little coffee shops and I'm a caffeine addict I wish I was born in the 50s and love antique-ing My favorite thing ever is going on adventures and exploring

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
First time couch surfer!!! I don't want the superficial 5star hotel experience. I want a deeper impact when I travel. I want to shy away from the touristy attractions and learn more about the people and the culture firsthand.
Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite book: Steppenwolf by Herman Hesse Favorite movie: Inherent Vice Mostly oldies music (50s-90s) and some alternative and indie rock from today!
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Founded a nonprofit that raised $10,000 to build a water cistern at a school in Uganda
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach people about photography, art, where to find the coolest coffee shops, and probably a bunch of other random stuff I've picked up throughout my life!! I can learn new languages, about new cultures, and form priceless relationships. I have a natural curiosity about everything, so if you're willing to teach me something new, I'm more than will to share! I want to share a great experience with fellow travelers!
What I Can Share With Hosts
I can share my past experiences and knowledge and my friendship with hosts.
