Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Thanks to CS I got to enjoy unforgettable times with all kinds of people, making awesome new friends. I travel alone a lot and couchsurfing has helped me always with that.
(I have also had a couple of not so great experiences on this app which is why I take it very seriously that there are absolutely zero intents of flirting or anything like that)

-hiking for 1 month in the Himalayan mountains
-having a secret temple party in India
-living in a car for 8 months
-Working in the middle of the desert (Australian Outback)
-building a little minicamper out of my small Toyota Yaris
-hitchhiking in a few countries
-Walking the Camino de Santiago (Portuguese version)
-skydiving
-diving license in Thailand
-Roadtrip in Vietnam
-teaching German in Colombia
-paying to go bungee jumping and then being too scared to do it
-moving to live in Costa Rica in the middle of the pandemic
-seeing lava eruptions on top of a vulcano (volcán de fuego)
-having "langar" at the golden temple in Amritsar at 45°C
-seeing a total sun eclipse in Mexico
-hiking a few days alone with my friend through some villages in Rwanda and Uganda
-getting altitude sickness on Kilimanjaro
-camping next to Hippos and monkeys
-getting lost with my friend completely alone on a glacier
-being a German teacher for students of more than 30 different nationalities
