My name is Lachlan Winter ( Lachy or Winter ), I'm 25 years old and I'm a construction worker ( when ever Im actually working ). Over the past 3 years I've discovered the world of travelling and haven't really slowed down since having covered 33 countries over that period. I am currently 8 months in on a 10 month trip abroad which I've covered parts of Central Asia, Europe and now heading into the Middle East. Prior to this trip I was Living in London, England on a Working holiday visa. I think of myself as an easy going, social and open minded person

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I'm giving couch surfing a go for several reasons. I have only heard good things from friends and other travellers that have experienced couch surfing first hand, It allows for a more personal connection with the culture and the people of that country. Having someone from the country in which you're travelling to inform and educate you is something that is not always available when backpacking and staying in hostels. I feel as though this is something that is so precious as my main motivation for travelling is to explore the world and see and take in all the different aspects of a country, a culture and its people. It is also a good way to save on accomodations lets be honest.
