One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Chased by wolves in the forest when I had to crawl onto the edge of a cliff, hanging tight on a shrub. A delicious wild strawberry just beside me questioning my existence.
It was the only thing in focus. My mind quieted. All the fear, the adrenaline, the panic… washed away, replaced by a single, stupid thought: “Should I eat it?”
