Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people from other countries and learn about their cultures, ways of seeing the world, etc., because I believe that only by getting to know the local people of a town or city can you truly understand the place. In my view, just visiting the most touristy spots doesn’t allow you to experience the real beauty of a place.

Para conocer gente de otros países y sus culturas, maneras de ver el mundo, etc. ya que creo que solo conociendo la gente del pueblo o ciudad en que te encuentras puedes conocer realmente ese lugar. Desde mi punto de vista, conocer solo lo más turístico, no es conocer la belleza de cada lugar.

[ENG] The mountains and adventure sports—although I don’t practice them as much as I’d like—learning new ways of doing things, going out with friends, reading, animals, traveling, etc.

I enjoy talking, sharing, and learning about food, consumption habits, the environment, politics/the economic and patriarchal system we live in, social relationships, education, music, ways people interact with each other and with nature, or any other topic! Gaining knowledge is never a bad thing—quite the opposite! There’s an endless amount to discover and question.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music... and I enjoy everything from rock to party music. Almost every genre has its moment!

When it comes to movies, one of my favorite genres is thriller. I'm also drawn to historical films, those that address different social issues, and, of course, comedy—preferably dark humor rather than the typical romantic comedy. I like almost all films by Martin Scorsese and David Lynch.

Me encanta la música.. y me gusta desde el rock hasta pachanga. Casi todos los géneros tienen su momento!

En el cine, uno de los géneros que me gusta más es el thriller. Aunque también me atraen pelis históricas, las que tratan diferentes problemáticas sociales y como no, comedia, preferentemente humor negro no la típica comedia romántica. Me gustan casi todas las pelis de Martin Scoresese y David Lynch.
