I would describe myself as a social chameleon. I tend to blend into most cultures and human behaviors quite fast if I want to, especially if I am comfortable with my surroundings. I'm a very open personality with nothing to hide if asked, psychology, philosophy and sexology which I see as a relation to this, are things I have great interest for. Hobbies and other interest that I still do or have tried are so many, that I simply don't bother to list them. It would probably just be boring to read anyway.
I love meeting kind, open, charming, funny, down to earth people, because it reminds me of who I used to be as a child. Somehow being around those type of people brings out those traits from within me and the cold, calculated, depressed person that I feel like, just fades away. It's like a barrier falling down and my true self is set free.
My mind is very active, always thinking about nothing and everything, which I see as both a curse and a blessing in disguise. Intellect is something I strive to achieve more of, but I am a visual and sensory type of being when it comes to learning, so books have so far not been my greatest ally (although they are one of the best sources).
Teaching what I know and sharing my thoughts is something that gives me great joy. Even a couchsurfer once told me I should become a teacher, perhaps she is right. But the way I see it, is that we are all teachers in our own way, we all have our lessons to give and our lessons to learn. One can never learn it all, there's simply not enough time, but surely, one could try to find enough.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I wish to travel the world, but I have so far not done the steps towards that journey (perhaps I'm afraid, not sure).
I look at this as my first step I suppose. Who know´s, maybe it will lead somewhere.
A friend of mine, Christina, she is a host here in Haugesund where I reside (happy to recommend her). She has had a few guests over the last year or so, and I have had the pleasure of meeting some of them, even showing them around telling stories and bad jokes. I guess the experience of acting as a guide for them has sparked that feeling of wonderment, for both my own environment and the wish to see new lands.
Because of this I have also of course considered hosting myself, however, my current living status (having a roommate) makes it difficult. So for now I recommend Christina, if you choose her you might meet me as well!
