I'm from a little town in Finland from a noisy, warm and laughing family. Now I study in Helsinki in a Global Music program in University of Arts. I love my studies because there's people from all over the world studying in that program and sharing their music with each others. I think it always makes an open-minded and exciting feeling when there's people from different backgrounds hanging out so I'm lucky that I can spend my days in that kind of environment. I sing and play the cello and the double bass.
I´m fun, easy-going and empathetic person. I am optimistic and don't worry too much, I´m maybe too carefree and often loose and forget things so I have to keep being optimistic otherwise I´d worry too much of everything I´ve lost or forgotten! I want to have a excited and joking and laughing people around me because I prefer life to be sunny! One big thing about me is that I have an identical twin sister and I love to be twin and I love twins!
I was an exchange student for a year in USA and it was amazing. I loved learning every day some more of the language and culture and the smallest things like having a nice small talk with someone made me so proud and happy because it felt like I'm surviving in the new country and culture. I would love to experience that feeling soon again and to move to a new country (Spain maybe!) because I'm getting restless in Finland!

I love travelling by myself and making new friends and Couchsurfing makes that easy. I think the best way of getting to know a certain place is to make some new friends from there and do whatever they would be doing when I happen to be there!

Centres d'intérêt

My normal days are filled with music since I study it and do gigs. When I sing I love the most singing in Spanish or if I sing in Finnish it has to be a sad story with beautiful melody which makes people cry. When I play the cello or bass I love groovy, rhythmic music the most. I would love to play more (West) African music with cello.
I love to dance and my favourite is to dance to latin music (would like to dance salsa and bachata better though but it's coming!)
I love hot weather, beaches and seas and oceans. I want to know how to surf one day because I tried it and it was perfect.
Food is my passion and I love to go out to eat and try new recipes home.

I'm most interested in traditional music from all over the word. love flamenco, West African music and South American singr-songwriters. Some of the most important artists for me: Illapu, Pablo Milanes, Oliver Mutukudzi, Eduardo Gatti, Habib Koite, Angelique Kidjo, Miriam Makeba, Salif Keita.

Favourite movies: Kieslowski´s The Double Life of Veronique and Three Colors: Blue and Red, Volver, Legally Blonde, Abrazos rotos, Chocolate, Amelie, Frances Ha. I like also

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Once me and my twin sister tricked people at our primary school by changing clothes and classes and pretending to be each others. When we were kids our favourite movie was "Parent Trap" and I guess that inspired us to trick people. I think it was pretty fun if not amazing to act someone else for one day!

I can teach you some Finnish words or a Finnish folk song or dance.
I would love to practice my Spanish so we can either try to speak that or you can teach me a song in Spanish!
You can teach me more salsa and bachata or you could just show me your best dance moves and we can have competition who has the most weird moves!

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

I´m super easy to spend time with and I can promise you an open-minded, fun girl to hang out with! We can have long conversations, cook something or go out to eat, go to a beach or some second hand shops, go to dance, gigs, or events or just hang out without doing really anything. I´m up for trying new things also because I'm curious and I think almost everything is fun if you have the right attitude!
