My name is Lawrence, full time working in finance, part time working as a reflexologist and sports masseur, and part time studying as a postgraduate in asset management.

I'm currently working and studying in Singapore. If surfers ever come when I'm around. Would like to host and hang out if available.

My interests include:

Traveling: So far I've been to 16 countries, and planning to add on to the numbers year by year.

TCM: Studied Traditional Chinese Medicine for 6 years and practiced for 2 years.

Paleontology: Love fossils and follow up with the latest updates in the field regularly.

Sports: marathon, windsurfing, swimming, hiking, table tenis...

Horror movies: Love to watch them late night on weekdays, but seldom found any company who wants to tag along tho:(

Opera: Love Mozart, Vivalidi, Delibes, Rossini.....

Cooking: Good chef in all kinds of Chinese food. Love trying different food when traveling. Almost eat everything, e.g. organs, insects....

I respect the diversity all world, races, religions, mindsets, sexual orientations and all, and believe that communication is the best way to bridge the differences between people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When traveling, sites hopping is really not my style, and I would like to mingle and make friends with local people and get deep into the local culture, history and things to do. During my previous traveling experience, I was blessed to be able to make some local friends and we keep in touch till now. I certainly hope to make more in my future endeavors.

Anatomy on a corpse: (Don't get it wrong. I'm not a serial killer!!) Went to my high school classmate's lab to watch and learn anatomy on a corpse....

Take care of baby panda as a volunteer....

Make friends by searching on FB randomly and travel to hang out with them shortly in their countries...

Survived SARS....and I'm sure this Conoravirus too....

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a native Chinese speaker, and have quite profound knowledge of the Chinese history and literature, including ancient Chinese texts, poems and plays.

Being exposed to both traditional Chinese culture and international studying and working experiences, I presume to think that I have a very neutral and objective view of politics, economy and realities in modern China, which I find a lot of my western friends take interest in. Happy to share sth you may not be able to find in the everyday media you have access to.

I've been studying, working and living in Singapore for more than 6 years. Ask me anything pertaining to that.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer u a nice and relaxing (or painful, haha) Chinese reflexology or sports massage, and share with you the knowledge if u r interested.

I can teach u Chinese as I've done for quite a few foreign friends.

I am also a good cook in Chinese food from different provinces. If u love to try, I'd be happy to cook for u.
