About Me

CURRENT MISSION

trying not to be scared

ABOUT ME

Well, here are some of my most obvious characteristic traits that you will discover as soon as you get to now me:
I'm rather quiet, slightly crazy, frightened of nearly everything, reliable, affectionate, obliging and a bit egoistic (I want the best slice of the cake, i just love sweets). Besides, I take pleasure in the small things of life: in the first budding twig in spring, in learning how to press all liquid out of a teabag without wetting my fingers, in jumping into a pile of leaves and the scent of a summer evening.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to help you discover a place and see it through the eyes of the people who live there, and I should like you doing the same for me.

Interests

I LOVE reading. If I have enough time (but also if I haven't) it may occur that I don't do anything else. I also like to discuss books, politics and anything else that I take any interest in. For me, it's fascinating to learn about other people's opinions and explain my own views.
Besides, I like going to the cinema/theatre and concerts (classical music mostly, since I play the violin). I also like cooking, baking (especially for other people) and, of course, travelling. Getting to know new people from other cultures and conversing in English and Spanish.
What else...? I'm interested in art (favourite type is expressionism) so I like to go to museums and I spend a lot of time outside literally just looking at trees.

Music, Movies, and Books

hard to write down any books here: there're too many I like. Perhaps I should write down genres: fantasy novels, historic novels and lots of classics (I learned a lot of my English by reading the British 18th and 19th century classics, so it might sound a bit old-fashioned).
Concerning films I can say to take delight in good thrillers, tragedies and romantic films, just anything with a good story, but not the ones in which you can predict the ending after watching the trailer.
I really enjoy classical music, preferably baroque. Nonetheless, my favourite composer is Dvorak. Philip Glass is just great, too! And I like some other old stuff (Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra etc.), but I also listen to anything new that touches my feelings of the moment. Generally I prefer folk.

Teach, Learn, Share

Unfortunatly, I think I don't have any remarkable skills but I could demonstrate how to play a violin, although you probably won't really learn to play it in one day or so unless you're a genius.
If you're from a Spanish- or English-speaking country all I want is to converse with you in your mother-tongue and I could teach you some German and show you some German baking.
