Overview
About Me
We are a young couple (both 20 years old) traveling through Japan since December 2022. We both wanted to go on an adventure before we would start attending university in Germany, so we decided to participare in a one year 'Work&Travel Japan' program hosted by AIFS, an international exchange organisation.
We are both open minded and lively people, with the goal of making as many friends/building as many connections as possible during our trip and being immersed into japanese culture.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is uncommon in Europe, so the concept of being able to live with a local for a few days like roommates is very exciting for us. We would love to get to know the people of Japan and to experience the country in a non-touristic way.
During our first 6 months in Japan we have been staying at sharehouses, which are great for making new friends as well but not quite as immersive. We actually didn't really know about the possibility of couchsurfing in Japan until friends told us about their great couchsurfing experience and how kindly they were treated as guests.
So for the remaining 6 months of our travel we want to give couchsurfing a try and hopefully make lots of unforgettable memories with our hosts!

Teach, Learn, Share
We would love to teach you all about German/European culture, food, traditions and of course language.
For example, we could cook german dishes together!
Let's learn English together! If you want, we can give you free English conversation lessons.
Please teach us Japanese by talking to us, since we are eager to improve our skills. We have been studying by ourselves but conversation is still the best way to learn a language, right?
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can gladly help you clean and cook or look after your kids or pets if you have them. In case you would like to lear english, we could speak english with you and teach you in a casual way.
Of course we are content with any kind of bed/couch to sleep on. We would love to spend time with you, of course only if that is your wish. We can also just quietly live with you and keep each other company.
