To build a life I am proud of. To contribute.
I am a people person, and a dog person. I will put up with the occasional cat. (Just kidding, cats are adorable too!)
I'm constantly fascinated by the breadth of the world and the people and knowledge it contains. To me, the best experiences are the authentic ones.
I recently moved to Portland, Oregon, and am loving becoming acquainted with the Pacific Northwest. It's such a beautiful part of the country, and the world.
In my previous career I worked in the travel industry as a tour director where I managed multi-day trips, mostly in the US and most recently, in Scotland. That career gave me many amazing opportunities to travel, but I'm enjoying being able to put down roots in one place.
Follow your bliss. Be kind, to yourself and others. Know that there is always more to know.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I attend meetups and welcome travellers where I'm living. I have used couchsurfing through several of my travels, most recently on a roadtrip through the southern US and California.
I've met some of my closest friends through couchsurfing, around the world. I've been blown away by couchsurfing, and have been occasionally though rarely, disappointed. Overall however, it's an amazing resource and way to connect with locals.
Things that make me happy:

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Laying in my hammock, in the complete and total darkness of the Amazon rain forest, listening to the rain pound down on the tin roof of our hut.
