I am a transplant to Portland, Oregon, and am loving becoming acquainted with the Pacific Northwest. It's such a beautiful part of the country, and the world. In my previous career I worked in the travel industry as a tour director where I managed multi-day trips, mostly in the US and most recently, in Scotland. That career gave me many amazing opportunities to travel, but I'm enjoying being able to put down roots in one place. Recently I've been reading a lot about mindfulness and compassion practices and I have to say, it's really resonating with me and I'm looking forward to learning more. PHILOSOPHY Life's a garden. Dig it.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I attend meetups and welcome travellers where I'm living. I have used couchsurfing through several of my travels, most recently on a roadtrip through the southern US and California. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I've met some of my closest friends through couchsurfing, around the world. I've been blown away by the couchsurfing community, and have been occasionally though rarely, disappointed. Overall however, it's an amazing resource and way to connect with locals.
