Welcome to my profile

Regarding HOSTING:
I live alone in a spacious apartment near Vondelpark. However, I normally don’t host more than 2 people, and solo travellers always have priority to stay with me, because i also travel alone a lot and I know how bitter sweet can be to be alone in a foreign place. I strive to keep my house a place of love and joy, and I don’t tolerate (physical or mental) harassment and discrimination.

I am proud about the fact that I have been able to sharply select 99% of my guests . Most of them have been really nice companions, with many staying more than planned or returning for a second/third visit. Keep in mind that I am not a tourist, I have my regular “boring” life here, so I won’t be able to party with you nor take you to smoke weed during work days. By the way, drugs are fine but don’t expect me to be responsible if you get into troubles because of them, so use them consciously. If you end up in jail or in the hospital (it has happened to a guest before), my availability to help you is quite limited, not to say inexistent.

At my place, you will have all the resources you need to eat/sleep/relax/personal hygiene, I just refuse to help anyone with money, so please don’t ask me for money (yes, that also have happened before).

Last but not least: I am a gay man. If you feel uncomfortable with that, don’t bother sending a request.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Because I believe this website is great for people who likes to travel alone, like me. It helps us to meet locals and make the most out of our adventures. I am here too because I would like to help people in this same situation. I know it's not always easy to find friendly people when you are in a different place, specially in somewhere other than your home country.

Intereses

Being a software developer has always pushed me into technology, but of course I am not limited to it. I love learning different languages--right now, I am trying to catch up with studying Dutch. I love any kind of art: paintings, sculptures, photographies, fashion, craft work, music, movies, street art. I love food, and I am trying to be a better cook over time. I am into deep discussions about the meaning of life and the gender of the angels. I like biking and hiking, sitting on the grass at night to enjoy a good wine. I am a club kid, I like partying. Okay... I think thats enough :p
