My name is Levin and I share this account together with my great companion Jiyeon :)

For many years I had the dream of making a big journey with my bicycle
And last summer I finally made it happen and cycled from Germany to Portugal 🇩🇪->🇵🇹
However after finishing I still had this idea stuck in my mind that seemed way too crazy but somehow it kept its place there, not going away.
It was the idea to cycle from Germany to Japan
And through some wondrous coincidences or destiny, I met someone in Portugal, who ended up being crazy enough to like this idea, Jiyeon!😟
And now half a year later we’re about to actually depart on this journey!🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing just out of curiosity and having the feeling that it could be something great, even tho many people around me thought it’s pretty weird. Of course I was nervous about it too because it was a little bit out of my comfort zone but I could tell in advance that it’s definitely worth a try.
But still it exceeded my expectations by far and I wouldn’t wanna miss it anymore!
The ten Couchsurfing experiences I have all are among the most memorable moments of my journeys and almost make the rest of the trips seem boring because they stand out as very unique parts that I’d rarely get to witness while traveling “normally”. Even though most of the time, they weren’t any incredible adventures but still left lasting impressions on me.
Whether it’s hanging out on top of the student dorm of a Spanish pilot school with my host and five Maldivians or just going to a local French market in the morning with my hosts roommate, all of it was so worth becoming part of this community!!
And after hearing the stories of my hosts I really wish to become a host myself soon in the future, as a way to travel while being at home and to give back the kindness I’ve received🙏

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycling from Germany to Portugal last summer was probably the most crazy and amazing experience I’ve had…. so far
Finally making this dream come true for the first time was just surreal and I still can’t believe I did it. It was hard but I loved it so much and was overwhelmed by the amount of amazing and inspiring people I met on the way💭
Like the partner for my next journey who was awaiting me in Porto!😆
