Just a calm and collected Scottish dude looking to build awesome relationships! Once a London-based radar analyst, now a run-away teaching English as a foreign language in Spain just finished my course, now looking to adventure and meet people around Barcelona before I find a job/flat.
Now learning Spanish as my third language on top of my reasonable French. Spanish is more fun though tehe ;)
What do I enjoy? Why, adventuring in undiscovered lands of course, and smashing in combat sports (Muay Thai), competing in public speaking (I'm a member of Toastmasters), marching to techno music, rocking to rock/metal music and having enjoyable conversations where people show genuine interest in each other and reciprocate this interest in an effort to get to know and understand each other. I find it difficult to deal with when one person is talking non-stop without rest. It tires me out.
I try to live as healthily as possible. I find it easy to do the things I know I should be doing and avoid the things I know I shouldn't do, but I do find it difficult to know what I should be doing and shouldn't be doing. Being healthy can be complicated when there are conflicting sources of information everywhere and so many factors to take into account.
My favorite things in the world are:
Building amazing relationships around the world.
Those spontaneous moments which happen unexpectedly, as long as you are open to them. Like bumping into a friend randomly and deciding to go for a coffee/tea with them. Just little things like that.
One of the best parts about couchsurfing is hearing the hugely different world-views held by couchsurfers... It always amazes me how much I don't know I don't know...
I used to drink a lot but I don't drink at all anymore - too many negative side-effects for me. But I still go out and socialise at bars a lot.
Gonna be honest; the world scares me quite often. But I know from experience where courage can take me which is why I do my best to exercise bravery and take on challenge wherever I see it :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is the best way to meet cool, like-minded people.
I love it.
Sports: Always keeping fit no matter where I am. Been getting into calisthenics recently... Would like to be able to do a muscle-up.
Music: I used to play the piano and the alto saxophone but lost my creative spark and interest in musical creation... Now most likely to mix some techno using Traktor...
Im always listening to music. Jazz, rock, metal, techno, game soundtracks, movie soundtracks, you name it.
I love food. Try to eat mostly vegetarian these days for cheapness, healthiness and digestive ability. Find a good balance between eating meat sometimes and vegetarian mostly works well.

Teach, Learn, Share
Any interest in learning about combat sports would be well-received, particularly about Muay Thai (I can teach you some if you'd like :)
Personal development was my thing for a while - I know and practice a ton of principles like the back of my hand. Could be useful if anybody wants to make some changes but doesn't know how. I'm a fairly accomplished public speaker too.
I guess my French is at a level where I am worth practicing with for beginner and intermediate...
Fitness; a know a few things. Same with diet and peak performance...
I want to know things I don't know I don't know.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Can help you out with anything you need - cooking, cleaning, moving stuff...
Apparently I have a good sense of humour.
Glasgow is my favourite city in Scotland. Having lived there for 5 years I hope I can share with you a bit of the personality of Glasgow.
I could teach you some muay thai or MMA/Brazilian Jiu Jitsu if you fancy (I'm a peaceful person but I really love combat sports). I can also teach you some things about the culture of Muay Thai.
I can play any game/sport you want - im open to all.
If you want to talk about spritual stuff, be my guest - I meditate sometimes and I have an open mind (though I'd love to open it further).
