CURRENT MISSION To learn Mandarin ABOUT ME I live in Winnipeg but am travelling New Zealand, Asia and Canada (for one year!) at the moment with my partner Brad (34). I love to speak French, play the uke, ride my bike, volunteer in human rights, hike. Brad's an Air Traffic Controller back home on sabbatical. He's got an eclectic set of interests... from war history to punk music to beer label collections.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE So far I've surfed in Bergen (Norway), Stockholm (Sweden), Copenhagen (Denmark), Vienna (Austria), Freiburg (Germany) Ive beeen to a few cs parties/meets as well. always enjoyable!
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Hawksley Workman, Stars, Folk/Country Tunes like Dylan's 'Don't think twice, it's alright' that I can get into on the uke. We've been reading a lot since our travels started and most of all I like to read stories relevant to where I am at the moment.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
Ran a half marathon. Hike 18 km through the night (moonlit estuary crossing, oceanfront trails, starry skies, birdsong at dawn...:) ) in NZ. Volunteered in Ouidah, Benin for 6 months. Worked in Canada's Arctic going door to the door as an Enumerator for the Census... in the winter!

We could cook a mean beer can chicken, or one of my favourites- a 'must-go' meal!
