I have reentered american society. Yeah! Spread the love. Opened a an antique textile museum in Gulfport. I am currently working on website design which I have no clue wtf I am doing but I am doing.
My name is Mike and that's where I hope the boredom ends. I traveled throughout the world, my backpack and singing Christmas songs. I am goofy. I am passionate and so on. I have so much to be thankful for.
I decided to dedicate my life to finding beauty and meeting interesting people. I lived outside the US since 1998, came back here 2014. I am seeker- better sole (not a typo, soul, yes but I prefer to use my soles of my feet to learn people and their ways) searching by expanding my experiences and people have everything to do with my growth.
I really enjoy talking to people about life and politics, different perspectives are always good. I may not always agree, but I am patient and try to listen to others.
In another life, I was a popular bartender in Chicago, this may have something to do with my wit.
Facebook with up to date photos and some descriptions:
or type: email@example.com maybe easier to find me.
Travel blog before I got bored of writing it:
http://www.antextilemuseum.com -Collection of Asian Art, Textiles and Tibetan Rugs.
http://www.mensvintageclothes.com -American Vintage clothes of the 40s and 50s.
Seek beauty where it isn't always pretty.
Fill my breath with life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Probably be a host for awhile.
Meeting people is the best and exploring new/old corners of the world- it's my preoccupation. CS allowed me to feel so much, my heart burst with love and laughter!
I want to see the best of the world- people, food and drink, history, art.
After I retire from the road.
I let homeless people stay and shower in the Chicago winter. It is too cold to think error on the side of safety. Luckily no big dramas happened.
Made some close friends thru CS and while working on my place 2 host surfed my place. One day many more!
Being Corny, Laughing, Reading, Traveling, Art, People Watching, History, Learning, Passionate people and I keep my snorkle in my backpack.
Meditation is good, yoga is new.
Thinking about writing, romance, boating for a few years somewhere in Micronesia, dissolving my ego!!
Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Travel, History, Witty (Tom Robbins) Cool (E.Hemingway) Hesse, Camus, and Beatnik writers. Nothing filled with popular culture hate.
Movies: Entertaining. Film Noir
Music: If I have a choice... Old old Country, Blue Grass, Chicago Blues, Big Band, old French Jazz (Edith Piaf is my favorite), musicals, women vocalist.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I like listening to other peoples stories. I consider myself normal but other suggest not so it is what it is. I am not a thrill seeker, for example scared of fucin heights, dont give a damn about speed, loud noises annoy me... see pretty damn boring. But on the otherhand, saw a great meteor shower while spending the night under the stars hitch hiking in Tibet, hitched into Tibet maybe 10+ times, did haiawaska(SP?) with a mad Indian in Nasca, Peru, hitched basically every country I been too even the USA and noe followed my dream to open a museum.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am willing to share my experiences and stories and expect others to do the same. Honesty is a good thing.
A conundrum. Traveling suits me well but for true happiness there is so much more to be learned and I often feel childish with my own personal absorptions.
Pilgrimage to broaden my experiences, to gain understanding for myself. And so it is...
