My name is Lillie and I will be traveling with a friend, Sophie, through Europe in August. We are looking for fun, friendly and safe places to stay throughout our travels! Our hopeful itinerary is Barcelona, Albi (France), Luxembourg and then finishing with Amsterdam!

I am a college student studying Creative Writing and Gender/Women's Studies. I will be studying abroad in Dublin in the fall to further work on my Creative Writing major.

Sophie is looking into singing and songwriting and is looking into studying in Norway come fall.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are looking for the cheapest way possible to travel through Europe and are also looking to meet locals in order to have the best, most authentic experience possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lillie: I love comedic writing, as that is what I am majoring in. I love standup comedians and am looking to see some during my travels! I also love nonfiction writing and comedic movies.

Sophie: My favourite music genre is ethereal, indie pop, dream pop, folk etc. Some favourite artists include Aurora, Susanne Sundfør, Purity Ring, Simon and Garfunkel, Etta James, and Roy Orbison. Two of my favourite movies are Anna Karenina and Moulin Rouge. Honestly, I write a lot more than I read: journaling is one of my favourite hobbies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lillie: I traveled to Belgrade, Serbia last year to participate in a Model UN assembly discussing the European Migrant Crisis.

Sophie: I lived in Italy last summer as an au pair and was able to pick up on some of the language, culture, as well as travel to other countries.

Teach, Learn, Share

Lillie: I would love to learn local customs and cooking in each place that I travel!

Sophie: I would love to share the my experiences from other travels, songs I have written, and even teach how to knit if anyone was interested.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to swap stories and experiences with hosts. This website will be a great way for me and Sophie to meet new people along our travels!
