Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I like the spirit of sharing your home and I really love to get to know new interesting people.
Well it´s pretty cool to do stuff together with you guys.
Hiking, party or just talking a bit about life. I'm usually in for everything.
On the other hand I like the oppurtunity to experience a new culture by getting to know locals. It feels much more authentic and comfortable than being just a normal tourist.
At the end it also saves the budget that can be spent for even more trips.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I have ever done was a trip to Tromsø (norway). We slept in an old VW Camper at -12°C in Winter. Going snow shoe hiking on steep mountains and getting totally exhausted is just a wonderful experience. And then you feel the adrenalin when standing on the summit and being not sure if you can trigger an avalanche or not.

In the evenings we had to shovel the snow with a plastic box to create a parking lot besides the street while being in a wonderful fjord and having the sunset in front of you. At the end we even forgot sometimes our pasta on the stove when suddenly the northern lights enlighted the sky above us.
It was the first time in my life that I got to know what an amazing treasure the cold north can offer to you.

Teach, Learn, Share

Things I like to share most are adventure storries and my positive attitude. Well I have some photography knowledge, so I am always in for a photography session together.
On the other hand there are a lot of things to learn from other cultures, especially to chill down a bit more and to enjoy life in a way. I am still working on it. ;)
