My background is in tourism, specifically hotel marketing with Sheraton in the Asia Pacific region. I also managed a hotel in Sanur, Bali and was the marketing manager for a spa, restaurant, yoga center and wellness healing haven in Ubud, Bali.

I always wanted to teach, so completed a CELTA course in Cape Town, South Africa. I worked at a private English language school in Cambodia for almost 10 years, teaching teenagers and young adults.

I recently retired in order to travel. Siem Reap is still my home base, so I will there sometimes.

I live in a two-bedroom apartment with one cat, I cycled to the school everyday.

I enjoy a wide range of music and movies. I usually read books on my Kindle which are easy to read. Nothing heavy, just to keep me interested and then I forget what I read.

People are mostly amazed by my sense of adventure. I am not hesitant to just move to a new place on my own. I enjoy travelling with other people, but am not afraid to just travel to a new place on my own.
