About Me
Hi!
We are Lisa and Riccardo, we come from the Italian part of Switzerland, but live for the moment in Zurich.
I studied Agricultural Sciences and Richi is a mechanical engineer.
At the moment we are travelling in South America, so we CANNOT HOST in Switzerland.
We stayed 1 month in Patagonia, and now we will discover the North of Argentina, then Bolivia! And at last, French Polynesia 😊
Lisa: I love to travel, some years ago I took a year off to visit New Zealand, Bali and Costa Rica, and in autumn 2018 I spent 4 months in Peru and Chile with Richi. These were my best experiences! I've been couchsurfing sometimes, but mostly when I travel I do wwoofing, that's working on organic farms getting food and accomodation and the possibility to live with a family of the place that you're visiting. It's like couchsurfing but you can stay also for months if you want, and in this way I visited many countries!
We are easy going, quiet people but always enthusiast to do, see or learn new things :)
We are quite "green", or ecological if you prefer. I studied agricultural sciences because I think it's the base of life, without food it's quite difficult to live!
We don't party much but prefer to go hiking almost every weekend. Our dream is to live on the land and sustain ourselves as much as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's a wonderful way to travel. I think that seeing a country just staying in hotels and not getting to know anybody living there it's, how to say, kind of fake. You also have to know the advice of local people!
Interests
Hiking, nature, languages, travelling, water (swimming, snorkelling, I tried diving), all kind of sports, cooking (I collect cookbooks of every country that I visit), food!
Plants, wildlife
We recently bought a drone to make videos in the mountains.
I often go on our family alp in summer, and make cheese with our goatmilk.

Music, Movies, and Books
A really interesting one that I'm reading now: Effondrement, of Jared Diamond
Isabel Allende, after visiting Chile I could really understand her novels.
Supertramp, Queen, Cat Stevens, Jack Johnson, REM.
Italian music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In New Zealand, start climbing up on the Tongariro Crossing at 5 in the morning, with no other tourist in view, and with perfect weather conditions, a big blue sky and no clouds, you could see until the Taranaki on the east (and it's very far away!)
It was just amazing
Or volunteering with turtles, watching them coming out of the sand and rush in the ocean under the moonlight...
Working in the Alps and learn how to make cheese:)
Wwoofing in Peru and Chile, from the Andes to the Amazonas to Patagonia
Teach, Learn, Share
How to grow plants, I have a lot of them!
Cooking Italian food, pizza!
I always love to learn about the country where I am, the history, the political problems, the economy, the differences in comparison to Switzerland. I'm good at listening to people.
