I'm a Canadian who has lived abroad longer that I ever lived in my own country. Somehow though, I still feel like a true Canadian. France has been home for the past 30 years, although now that my kids are almost grown, I'm not sure where I'll end up.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I have a passion for travelling. When one holiday is finished, I have to start planning the next one. Sometimes I travel with my kids, sometimes with friends but I often like to go away on my own. Staying in a hotel can be lonely, so I love the idea of meeting local people and experiencing a different way of getting to know a new country. In 2018 I spent the whole year travelling which was a dream come true for me. My favorite countries were the Philippines, Japan and everywhere I went in South America. Now I'm back at home slowly adapting to a normal life again.
Music, Movies, and Books
I try and read about 1 book a week. Two of my favorite ones are The English Patient, and Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan books. I also like detective books by Michael Connelly or Lee Child. As for movies, well I'm more of a TV show person, and I love action ones like Homeland and 24.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I'm not much of a thrill seeker, so I'm not sure how to answer. I think that everytime I travel to a new place it's an amazing experience for me. My family is also important to me, so I could also say raising three kids.
Teach, Learn, Share
My specialites in the kitchen are baking muffins for breakfast. I can also help you improve your English, or French.
My Interests
Travelling (of course), reading, riding my bike around Paris, cooking and baking (gluten free for one of my daughters) and scrapbooking. I also love hiking and try to do some in each country that I visit.
