ABOUT ME

I'm a true Washingtonian, but I love to travel. I studied abroad in Montpellier, France for a year in college, and I taught English in Muenster and Duesseldorf in Germany for four years after graduation.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to host pretty regularly. Now I use couchsurfing more as a way to meet people when they're passing through town or when I'm traveling. I love the DC couchsurfing community and go to events whenever I can. Our DC community is awesome and always planning something fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surf all the time at my friends' places. They live all over, and I love to visit them. Some highlights are LA, Chicago, Boston, NYC, Madison (Wisconsin), Miami, Tampa, Vienna (Wien), Berlin, Ankara, Bodrum (Turkey), Hamburg, Stuttgart, Dublin and so many other places! I've also done "official" surfing a few times and had a great time meeting different people.

Interessi

I love doing ballet, modern, jazz and hip hop dance in my spare time. Of course I love art and architecture. I'm a huge fan of live music.

Movies: Auf der anderen Seite, Gegen die Wand, Clueless, Pretty Woman.
Music: Lots of independent musicians-Libbie Schrader, Mieke Pauley, Telograph, Daybreak Line, Amanda Rogers. Some more famous bands, too-U2, Indigo Girls, Coldplay, Dido, Pink, Christina Aguilera, Sarah MacLachlan, the Cranberries, Missy Higgins.

I spent four years teaching English in Germany after college. I thought that was pretty amazing!
