About Me
After my husband died a few years ago, I decided to make my home a safe place where people can come together to thrive and grow. I currently have four housemates, ranging in age from their early 20's to their late 60's.
I am looking forward to sharing my home and getting to know many couchsurfung people in the years to come!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We all have something of value to share with each other. I love having guests!
Staying in the home of a local, instead of an isolated hotel makes the experience way more enriching.
Soon I am going to start traveling around this floating ball of earth, and
I'm looking forward to connecting and sharing with new fellow humans as their guest!
Interests
I've been a stay at home Mom and Wife for over 30 years, and now my time is all mine. I'm learning what it means to be single and have me time!
I love to work in my yard, with the flowers and the Bee hives.
I sometimes host a creative art, or board game night with friends.
And now that it's just me, I am going to get out soon and explore the world outside of Colorado!!!!
My four housemates interests also include online gaming, chess and other board games, opera, puzzles, football, cooking, hiking 14rs, skiing, and disc golf!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like most music. Although a friend was helping me with some work one day and I had the radio on and he said he didn't know I was into 90's Alternative Rock.
...so I guess that's my music, Alternative Rock. Although I like country and classical music as well. I love that Colorado has a great local music scene. We put out some really talented people here!
Colorado has also birthed some great food companies in the last decade! Like Chipotle, Mad Greens, Noodles and Company, and SmashBurger! And the famous Casa Bonita!!
Books I have been into lately include a lot of biographies. I just finished Charlie Chaplin's, Todd Fischer's, and The Howard Brother's Autobiographies. And now I'm starting the Harry Potter series for fun!
I love movies! However after spending most of my time on my Kids and Husband, I used to prefer to read in my very limited free time. I missed most of the 90's and a good bit of the 2000's So suggestions are always welcome, and I can make great popcorn!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My husband and I opened the first cannabis dispensary in the state of Colorado. Working with other dispensary owners and stakeholders, we helped set the rules and regulations for the cannabis industry, providing valuable input for how the process should look going forward.
Teach, Learn, Share
By default, after my Husband passed, I became our Beekeeper.
Learning how to foster these little creatures all by myself has been a challenge. I've always been enthusiastic about saving them, but not as enthusiastic about getting into a box of 80,000 or so of them!! So after 3 summers now, I can confidently say I am a Beekeeper!! If you come through Denver in the warm months, and you want to suit up and join me on a box inspection, I welcome that!!!
I love learning about other people.
I was raised only 60 miles from where I live in Denver. I have had very little exposure to other cultures. So for me, Couchsurfers are a wealth of information and I thoroughly enjoy listening to people talk about their home life!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am clean and respectful. I love to help out. I can cook traditional American meals. And I love to have great conversations!
