About Me

I am an Italian technical journalist formed through years of experience in various Italian publishing enviroments like press agencies, newspapers, blogs, istitutional sites, magazines. My studies in electrical engineering and computer science have made me competent in various areas of information technology. The practice first as IT manager and then as journalist led me to be a good link between the two professions.

A good journalist is rarely a good technician, as well as a computer expert is ardously a good adviser. In my case these two aspects merge. My curiosity leads me to learn every aspect of the matter which I deal with. The passion does the rest. I did not have to wait for the speech of Steve Jobs “to be hungry”. I always have been.

I am so hungry and so insatiable that I stopped working in a newsroom and I chose to be a digital nomad. For a year and a half I lived off the articles that I wrote from anywhere. From the high slopes of Mont Blanc, skiing for a whole winter to the crystal clear beaches of Sardinia, for a long summer, I sent news, analysis and articles thanks to a laptop and a mobile Internet connection.

Today I rediscovered my roots, the deep connections that I have with one of the most beautiful Capital of the World, a city so full of history and curiosity that a curious person like me could not abandon it.

So I started to propose simple solutions to companies that needed to be present on the Internet with an articulated form of digital communication. I then created sites using common CMS (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal), optimizing the code when needed, mostly for sports facilities, bed and breakfast and restaurant.

I am proud to have participated in the copywriting of a startup that sells traditional food products, experimenting with different solutions for e-commerce (OpenCart, Magento, WooCommerce, Prestashop) and that is still growing.

I went back to work in a newsroom, for an economic and finance magazine.

I have more than ten years of experience in staff training. I am a Personal Trainer and an advanced level instructor of freediving, kitesurfing and diving, disciplines that I have taught for several years in various indoor and outdoor sports facilities. I managed a project to promote these sports within private higher institutes. I am a volunteer of the Italian Red Cross. All the details of my training and professional careers can be found on my personal website - https://www.web-log.it.
