My journey is fueled by my huge interest in meeting new people and hearing different stories and cultures that shape our world. Whether it's hearing about life experiences or stories from travels, I am always trying my best as much as I possibly can to spread kindness and understanding in the world we live in. The mantra of seeking discomfort, embracing the unknown, and traveling the world one day, as I always yearn to discover the complexities of our world.

*About The House*

Just for the information for everyone to avoid mixed up and confusion, I am also living in the same house with Michael which is technically the owner of the house and my flatmate and we're both on Couchsurfing as well. I am also just a student guest living in his 4 Bedroom house.

"Stranger is just a friend you haven’t met yet," and I'm on a mission to turn as many strangers as I can into friends, one story at a time.

I’m 25, a Filipino creative dreamer originally from the small town of the Philippines, now chasing my dreams as a Storyteller and Filmmaker here in Wellington, New Zealand.

Currently, I'm an international student and on my final year pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Screen Arts Majoring in Film Production.

Family always holds a special place in my heart, and my passions extend to exploring diverse cultures, attempting new recipes in the kitchen, and indulging in activities like walking, cycling, running, hiking, indoor rock climbing, and beach swimming.

*Why Did I Choose New Zealand?*

Wellington captivated my heart during my first visit in 2019, wherein I was honored with a filmmaking award for a Smartphone Film Competition. The city's vibrant and creative energy, coupled with its renowned film industry scenes (think Weta Workshop, Avatar, Lord of the Rings), inspired me a lot to return for studies and to further hone my passion for telling stories and making films. Cinema is LIFE for me!

*Filmmaking and Beyond*

Filmmaking is not just a passion; it is almost my lifeline and that has saved me in so many ways. Through the lens, I aspire to share the untold stories, particularly those forgotten or overlooked. Back in the Philippines, I've already started on creating short films that address the social issues, environmental problems, and the relevant topic of mental health, earning few recognition and awards in some international film festivals from different countries.

*Extreme Passion for Storytelling:*

Storytelling fuels my existence, it is like a flame that keeps me going when life gets tough. The desire to inspire and motivate others through the lens of my camera is what propels me forward in this thing called the wheel of life.

Beyond filmmaking, I also find joy in playing badminton, hiking (Tongariro Crossing being a recent triumph), and the lifelong friendships fostered through the 'Seek Discomfort' philosophy of the Yes Theory community.

*Connecting Through Yes Theory*

Being part of the “Yes Theory” community has been a life-changing experience. The mantra, "Stranger is just a friend you haven’t met yet," perfectly inspires my approach to life today. Through this incredible community, I've built incredible friendships that transcend borders and kindred spirits from various parts of the world.

I see my story as a patchwork of my dreams, experiences, and a strong belief in the incredible power of storytelling.

Allow me to share with you the small video project close to my heart, born from chance encounters and blossoming friendships. What began as a collaboration with a fellow traveler, once a stranger, now counted among my dearest friends, has evolved into something truly special.

In this series, aptly named "Stories about People, for the People," we delve into the lives of diverse individuals, seeking their unique perspectives on life, dreams, passions, and everything in between.
