First of all, we love Couchsurfing!

We are Luana and Vicente, a brazilizan coulpe trying to realize one of the biggest dreams of our lives: cross from Asia to Africa by landborders!

We started our trip in July 2024 and we're still on the road! On the way, we crossed so many countries always meeting wonderful people. We travel hitchhiking, by bus or train because we feel this is the best way to connect with local people and to have a glimpse of real life.

That's why we joined the comunity of Couchsurfing!

We are brazilians, so we love to dance and all kinds of festivals! We are here to try new things and to learn about the history of the countries and the culture of the people that we meet on the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love to meet new people everyplace we go, in order to meet what's outside the "tourism circle" that oftenly hides the local reality. In 2024, we're beginning the trip of our lives: a world trip from Asia to Africa!

We bought a flight from Rio de Janeiro (Brasil) to Bangkok (Thailand), planning to visit the hole southeast Asia and then move towards South Asia to reach Africa in one or two years travelling, always by land and sea.

All the way down, we'll love to meet local people so we can get in touch with the culture and the routine life, as we can exchange feelings, knowledge and happiness!!

If you could host us in your couch or take us to a walk by the street or the nature, we'd love to be your guests!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When we were only 22 years old, we travelled together for one year long, doing hitchhike by seven states of Brazil, sleeping in inside trucks, gas stations, parks and squares, and most of all as guests of local people, even if at that time we didn't know Couchsurfing. This trip opened our mind to all the diversity in this wonderful world we call Earth.

After that, in 2017 we did the same thing in South America, visiting Peru, Bolivia, Paraguai and Argentina for 5 months in a roll. This last trip was the begining of the construction of our new dream: travel from Asia to Africa, and then going back to America crossing the ocean on a boat!

We don't know if it will be possible, but we'll try!

Teach, Learn, Share

We're born in a multicultural city, with different influences from african, indigenous and european music, dance, literature and all kinds of arts. We love to talk about culture, history and politics, always trying to understand better the place we're visiting, improving our knowledge and spirituality as we get in touch with the different ways of living in this big world. All we want to know is how to be better people in this life, but in order to do that, we have to connect with the other people living around.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We love to share food, books, stories, ideas, dreams, everything that can connect us as human beings. During our trip, we'd like also to make some photos and videos that we could share with our community in Brazil, showing places and people we're getting in touch during this two years travelling.

The richness of being on the road is to connect with diferent lifestories and cultures, that's why left everything back and opened our hearts to the unknew. This passion is something we would also like to share.
