Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to travel, and fortunately in the past few years I had the luxury to do it a lot. Even if most of them were business trips, i still got to see beautiful places, interesting people and very different cultures. Curious as i am, i would be trying every possible strange food (oh, yes: even street junk food), and also wandering by myself to discover city vibes: unnamed streets, getting lost (I'm an expert) and of course also main cannot-miss attractions.

But sometimes you just miss the magic of the unexpected that CS can provide: a kind of touching human serendipity: real luxury when you travel. So a beer together, suggestions for places to see, a couch in a corridor: that's the best of traveling for me... ;-)

So, i guess in the future I might be asking you for a couch, or a chat for a drink. If you are reading this I probably already did it ;-)

But wait, I'll be bringing with me a bottle of red wine and hopefully nice conversations. pick one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUIA40uLlKw

Music, Movies, and Books

hey, it is really too long.
Movies goes with anything of Kubrick (but 2001 uber alles) to Korean movies, Hitchcock, Resnais, Lynch, Terrence Mallick, the first two movies from Arronowsky, *EVERYTHING* from that genius of screenplayer Charlie Kauffmann, Tarkoswky, Wes Anderson, and many, many more.

Music is from Jazz to Experimental Electronic.
Bach, Guillame de Mauchaut, some Glitch-Pop, Quality Ambient/Minimal, Ragtime, Efterklang, the Books, Gesualdo da Venosa, Wendy Carlos, Coltrane, Chet Baker, Handel, Brian Eno, Kevin Blechdom, Monteverdi, Gregorian Chants, Aphex Twin, Sigur Ros, Oval, Opiate, Trio Lescano, Radiohead, Fennesz, Moondog, Morricone, Alva Noto, Charlie Parker, Autechre, Wevie Stonder, DVA, Asa Chang, Doo-Wop, but many, many unknown others.

As for books i really love some heavy stuff. Like Ballard, Kafka, Hofstadter, Houellebecq, Baudrillard, Italo Calvino (france period with Oulipo) and again, many others.

To be honest the last few years i consumed much more non-Fiction then fiction. For I love ancient history, biology and science in general
