ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Lucas, I’m 30 years old and originally from Rio Grande do Sul, south of Brazil. I grew up traveling with my family around South America by car.

After finishing my bachelor in Business Administration, I started my own project traveling the world.

(You can find more about it on www.instagram.com/pelomundodemagrela or www.pelomundodemagrela.com.br)

Between 2014 and 2015, I've made a few bike trips around the south, southeast and mid-west of Brazil.

In 2016, I went for a backpacking trip around Asia and visited Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, and the United Arab Emirates.

In 2018, I've lived for 5 months in New Zealand, cycled 4.178 km around both islands with a folding bike. It was far the most incredible thing I've ever done and I'm almost finishing a book about this trip, where I accumulate the major part of my Couchsurfing experiences!

After this, I went to Italy and traveled around the north part of the country to learn Italian and discover more about the culture of my ascendents.

In 2019, I lived for two months with my brother in the United Arab Emirates, when we traveled to Indonesia for an awesome family holidays in Bali.

I also lived two months in Valparaiso, Chile, where I worked as a volunteer at Nomada Eco Hostel, photographer in a bar and playing music on the streets.

For one year, I lived in Rome, where I used to work as a receptionist, tour guide and pasta cooking teacher at The Yellow Square Hostel and live in an apartment close to the beach where I could finally host people from Couchsurfing :)

Since I lost my previous job because of the COVID-19, I've been looking for a new challenges:

I was able to travel by bike to Switzerland on July 2020 and in August, I moved to Lisbon, where I live since then.

At new year's period, I was able to travel by bike through Algarve and realize one of my biggest dreams: SKYDIVING!

After two years hanging around different countries, I've decide to settle down for a bit in Portuguese lands while I keep travelling through Europe documenting the people I meet, places where I visit and this whole journey of discoveries.

Hope to meet you soon!
