About Me

Hey there ! I'm a 26 y-o half french / half german guy, who recently graduated in France, and was until recently working as a Food Science Technologist (basically: I make food for a living, but in a scientific way) in Ireland. I'm now moving to Montpellier where I found a new job.

I love to travel and to meet new and interesting people, and my main couchsurfing experience so far was a 3-months trip from Montreal to Miami in Winter 2015 (needless to say, yes, it was amazing).

I studied biology, agronomy and food science, I love movies, TV shows, art, drawing, doing sports, and talking to strangers until they're not strangers anymore. I'm also gay, very open-minded, and I love to hear about one's life experience, which is always unique, rich and beautiful in a lot of ways. I'm even considering writing a book based on my travels and the people I meet, so maybe one day you'll be in it, who knows ? ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I spent a few months travelling across Europe and Northern America, from Canada to the USA, from Québec to Miami! I loved it and definitely will do the same kind of journey across Asia and Latin America one day.

Until then, I continue to use this wonderful platform from time to time to connect with people, or when I'm travelling through France. I would gladly meet new people, to have a drink, a walk, or a dinner together, to chat and exchange our traveling experiences ! :)

Once I get my own place in Montpellier, I would like to pay back the kindness I've encountered during my own journeys.

I did some Airbnb in Germany and Spain before, but I now prefer couchsurfing as it's better to meet and really connect with your host (and also because it's cheaper, let's be honest).

Interests

I'm a curious guy, I love (trying) to understand the world, nature, and society that surround us.

I consider myself as a particular mix between a scientist (because of my studies, my job, and my curiosity) and an artist-wannabe: I do love arts a lot, and like to write, to draw and to paint from time to time.

I'm also a huge movie, videogames and TV-shows consumer, and I like to exchange points of views with other nerds :)

Music, Movies, and Books

To have an overview of my music preferences, please check this youtube playlist :

I don't have a specific kind of movies that I like or don't like. I watch equally zombie movies, indie movies, fantasy, sci-fi or psychological movies.

The last movies I saw are Gone Girl, American Sniper, Exam, the Snowpiercer, Lovelace, Her, 12 Years a Slave.
TV shows : American Horror Story, House of Cards, Faking it, 30 Rock, Real Humans, How to get away with murder, Looking, Girls, Hannibal, Orange is the New Black, Black Mirror, Orphan Black, Mr. Robot, Homeland, Altered Carbon

In comparison to my passion for movies and TV-shows, I have to admit that I don't read as much as I would like to, and read approximately 2 or 3 books a month.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelling alone in North America in Winter is so far the greatest thing I've done.
I recently came out to my grandparents which also comes in a good position on the list.

2 amazing shows that really moved me : O by Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas, and Wicked on Broadway.

Teach, Learn, Share

I really like discovering new cultures and learning new languages. I'm currently trying to learn a bit of spanish, italian and japanese, and love to discover the logic I know behind these languages.

For those who want it, I can teach them a bit how to speak german, french and english, or how to draw.
