I am a spontaneous and good-humored person. I like to read, to listen to music (so many styles and rhythms), to talk about a lot of subjects. I like to help people, dance (all night long) and also like to venture into nature (into the wild :)). And enjoy many possible routes that I can tread when I'm out there, under the starry sky. I'm fan of coffee, I'm fan of people who know how to laugh at themselves and I like when someone forgets the end of the joke. I also like storms and hear good stories. And, sometimes, this is all together and mixed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like receiving people at home. I'm part of an arabic family and I think that's why I inherited this taste. I also like to travel and meet people. I believe this helps us to grow as human beings and increases our understanding of the world. Meeting people from different backgrounds is the best way to know the "deflated parts" of our past and why we become who we are today (with the parts that have been "filled" with others experiences). In short, I like to be with one foot on the road and with people in mind.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: There are many songs of different styles! From Latin American, such as salsa, samba, bossa nova, chorinho, rumba, contemplating also rock, heavy metal and punk rock, going to the portuguese fado, flirting with house and electronics and falling into classical music. I like music a lot. This is what moves me.

Movies: I can not summarize the films in a few styles, or directors or stories. I like good stories. Do you have a good story? So you can be one of my favorite movies too. This is how it works for me.

Books: Ok ... now i'm doomed. There are so many ones! Let's say that some of the best novels I've ever read are: The Death of Ivan Ilyich (Tolstoy), The Dancing Girl of Izu (Kawabata), "Macbeth" and "The Storm" (Shakespeare), Heart of Darkness (Joseph Conrad), The Caucasian Chalk Circle (Brecht), The Master and Margarita (Bulgakov), L'Étranger (Camus), The Dying Animal (Phillip Roth) The Old Man and the Sea (Hemingway), As I Lay Dying (Faulkner). And let's also say that I would like to have a Sancho Panza as a squire.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess i prefer Share than Teach ou Learn. We are always sharing. Even whether I am explaining something to someone, this person is giving me a chance to improve my ideas and to revise my thoughts.
