I am re-joining Couchsurfing after several years. Started by hosting in Cambridge where I did my undergraduate studies in biological natural sciences and then I also tried Couchsurfing out from the other side on my gap year. Many years back :D

I then went for a crazy year of internships abroad that took me all the way to SE Easia and Australia before I settled on a PhD in Bioengineering in London. After that, I took a change of course again deciding not to become an academic and shifting into biological data science, started living in a van and travelling Europe. This allows me to spend the most time travelling and enjoying my crazy outdoor hobbies while still doing really meaningful impactful work!

I would describe myself as a little crazy adventurer, I just love to be outside and get to any unusual places, especially the 3D ones! I spend a lot of time underwater, in the air paragliding, or in a cave! I also love mountains and I am up for trying pretty much anything!

I enjoy the community and sharing cultures, meeting new open-minded friends. When hosting, the whole world cultures came to me and inspired me which was awesome 😁 maybe that's why I decided to start travelling more myself in a gap year and now in a van!

兴趣

I love outdoor adventrue sports - my main passions now are SCUBA diving (learning trimix and cave diving and to be an instructor) and paragliding (hoping to eventually learn to backpack and fly within the Alps for several days). I am also a caver who loves to explore and map places where nobody has been before and I love to do mountain hiking expeditions. I also live in a van most of the time 😁

Professionally, I am a biologist and data scientist enjoying the blend of analytical thinking and working for a good cause (usually sustainability or medicine).

But there too many things to name and we will have to talk about all of that!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

My life is full of adventures :D I went to study abroad already in high school for a bit and then uni in Cambridge. I also do adventure sports a lot, currently mainly SCUBA diving and paragliding but I am hoping to return to caving too after an injury. Caving expeditions took me to places where nobody has ever been before, we got to name and mapě them, and one I have spend 3 days 700m underground exploring! Now I have been living in a van with my boyfriend for about 2.5 years and building is as we go :D

Specifically for Cambridge, I have a lot I can offer because I used to study at St John's and now I am coming to visit. I still have access to the college and it might be easier to see other colleges too. And, St John's has a special chapel tower being the highest place in Cambridge and a place where only the St John's college students and alumni can access so if the weather permits, I can take you there!

Generally, I am always keen to share my culture, stories from travels and vanlife! I have a lot of tips for low-cost travel. I also love to bake and cook so we can make something together :)
