About Me

I like to live honestly, for that I try not to be nice just because is what you're supposed to do, I congratulate myself when I think I really deserve it and also I'm critical with myself. I only dance if I truly enjoy the music.

For learning, traveling is just great, no matter if you're the traveler or some local the traveler meets during their trip.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I liked it since I first heard of it. It is to me the best way to know from the most important part of any country: its people. You can know about a country, its culture and its History by even reading a book but you won't understand any of that until you know its people.
So that's why, because this way I have the chance to meet for real a country. Sometimes not even leaving my own house.

Interests

I like learning and also I love teaching, whether is the philosophical implication of some quantic phenomena or History or how to cook some recipie. Also about the person I'm talking to; people are usually an incredibly interesting subject of study.

I also like doing this over a drink and I like partying, truth be told.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have never liked in social media this section, where you are supposed to describe yourself in terms of the music you like. I mean, who does that in real life? Nobody listens to only one genre. But anyway, since we are here... the music I like depends on the mood I'm in: some pop-rock, alternative or indie rock and folk when I'm driving alone for I like singing the lyrics then. Oh, then I also like some latin music. Chill out and deep-house when I need my mind focus or, actually, when I need to be absent-minded.

I'd like to say that I only watch indie films but the truth is I used to watch almost every Marvel movie. Still, I do watch some more "clever" films. Have you watched Ex Machina and Arrival? If you haven't and you like good sci-fi you should watch them at once. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is, in my opinion, one of the best films ever made. The Cornetto trilogy is fine comedy. See? I managed to still look intelectual.

As for books I'll be short for I already wrote too much about this. Old sci-fi such as Asimov I really enjoy it. The Phantom of Canterville was one of my favourite books growing up and I think A Hundred Years of Solitude is a masterpiece. Also I liked very much The Unbereable Lightness of Being, although I sometimes didn't understand what I was reading. Hey, I'm an intelectual but I can be a bit stupid too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hummm... I'll go with... gathering a collection of around 80 shot glasses from all over the world!

That and finish my degree on Physics. Still don't know which one is more impressive.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love photography and since I'm learning by myself I'm looking forward to share tips and knowledge with other fellow photographers.
I love explaining the wonders of the Universe that I learnt while studying Physics (from the atoms to the galaxies). And then discussing what is the purpose of existance. I just promise no small talk.

If there is a kitchen involved when we meet I can cook my very famous tortilla de patata.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Some Physics lessons, which I promise is better than it sounds. That's my field of expertise but I love conversations about other fields of knowledge such as History, arts, movies...
I'm always up for a beer or a glass of wine.
