About Me

The best thing at traveling is to be in at new places, don't know what to expect there, to meet nice people and learn something about different cultures. That's why I started to travel a lot on my own. Because I think these kinds of experiences are more intense. Couchsurfing is a good way to meet interesting people and get more deeper into the culture and the normal life in the country. So far I met just great people over this app.
I'm a social worker working in a child shelter. I'm an outdoor person, who love it to be outside in the nature and do outdoor activities like hiking, climbing, bouldering, via ferattas, surfing, driving ski, driving bike and I'm very curius about trying new things. I have a horse since 10 years and most of the time in my life I had cats. In a short time I will have a cat again, and I can't wait for it.
I don't use CS as a dating app, if this is your intention please go to tinder.

Who do I host:
I host people who read my profile and send a message not only because they need a place to stay. Personally I would never send a request to someone only for that reason, so we expect the same from other people. Couchsurfing is about combining the practical with the interesting, not just one of them. I prefer to host people who are hosting as well, since couchsurfing should be a giving and taking.
And I would like to cook something together because I wanna try your favourite food and show your mine :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel the memories that stick are those connectet to the people I meet. Buildings and landscape are nice but people are making the true experience of traveling.
Through couchsurfing you get the chance to meet people out of your bubble who have an entirely different way of thinking as yourself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once when I came back from Italy to Berlin I was talking with a friend of mine in the plane about how friendly and open-minded people in Italy are and that we don't want to go back to Berlin, where nobody likes to talk to a random stranger on the street. But when we arrived at the airport my family and friends picked us up and I realized that the best people I know are right next to me.
Germans can seem kind of reserved when they don't know you, but once you get to know them they might turn out to be amazing people.
Look forward to meeting a lot of new people from a lot of different cultures anyway 😋

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn about different cultures. And ways of life in other countries. To be honest I oftenly think the German culture seems pretty boring compared to others, but hopefully I'll find something interesting to tell you about it.
I also love languages. As Mandela said: “If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his own language, that goes to his heart.” (don't like the gendering in that quotation though)
As I am learning Hindi I love to practice it with native speakers.
Also If you want to teach me a tea typically for your culture that is really welcome since I love tea and think it's really interesting how nearly all cultures have their special kind of tea.
