Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am couchsurfing because I really like to travel. I like meeting new folks from different backgrounds and learning more about them. This seems like a great way to meet locals in a new area as well as welcoming travelers to my city.

Interests

I really a lot of different things and am happy to try anything once. I like staying in and reading or going hiking or hitting the town with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like reading the classics, listening to new music, and watching comedies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once went on a hiking trip with my sister in the Southern Alps in New Zealand. We were unaware that dehydrated meals were the best things to take with you on multi-day hikes over mountains, so we packed canned goods and other heavy fruits and veggies. Anyhow we made it, but we couldn't walk for a couple days after finishing it. Learning experience.

I enjoy learning about new cultures and teaching what I can about mine.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love history and love telling stories to people that ask about it. I enjoy setting the scenes and explaining what went happened and why it matters to us today. This may not be entertaining to all but I enjoy telling these stories and folks tend to enjoy listening.
