I enjoy anything that teaches me something new, am very open minded and keen to expand my boundaries. I have done a few different jobs in my life-I ran a wine shop, had my own events management business, director of a BPO, had articles published on some regional and national newspapers...and was even a body double in a Hollywood movie once! (pays terrible but was so much fun). I have always loved to talk to people-there is something interesting in everyone (admittedly you have to look harder in some people than others!). After leaving the UK I lived and worked in malta for about 5yrs, traveled a lot in Europe, been to quite a few different places in the US, and a bit in Africa. A few years ago I moved to Manila and gently working my way around Asia as my next big adventure!....Thanks to my various jobs I have also worked directly with about 20 different nationality of people so far.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I enjoy helping people, I love to broaden my boundaries and learn more and I firmly believe in trying new things and having my ideas and outlook challenged (best way to learn!). O)h and I am lucky enough to not be broke anymore but I was for a quite a while when I was younger so definitely like the fact I can help people travel more/make there money go further!...thats good travel karma for sure :)

Impossible to choose one type of book movie or music! I could literally list about a hundred of each and still not be done...
One Amazing Thing I've Done
A few things as I really couldn't pick... -Hot air balloon over the river Nile and out into the Sahara desert at sunrise -Husky dogsled trek out into mountains in northern Norway -Was a body double in a Hollywood movie -Driving pretty much the whole length of South Africa...just the most stunning place in the world...that country is insanely beautiful... -Took a helicopter around Maui and molokai islands -Also surfing in Hawaii was awesome -Skydive
What I Can Share With Hosts
I'd like to say that I am interesting (I've done a lot of different stuff so far so have a lot of experience to share), I am definitely interested in learning about other people, places and experiences and am a keen listener….and I just love helping people out :) I have a 2 bedroom apartment in a very central location in Manila (Fort Bonifacio-30/45mins from the airport). So you get your own private room, in a nice apartment block with gym/pool etc, and very close to the high street so there's lots of places to go within walking distance. I am happy to do some tour guiding stuff but I do have a pretty intense job so my availability is pretty hit and miss however I can give you a good list off things to do for sure, then I'll join as/when I am free. I'd like to add I only accept guests with multiple references, so please don't request unless you have that...though I am happy to meet up basically anyone :)
My Interests
-Music-all kinds...I have very eclectic tastes...I basically listen to every kind of music that I know exists-I have listened to music for at least 2/3hrs a day for basically 20yrs now. Anyone that can introduce me to a new type of music is an instant friend for life! -Movies/films -Writing (I write some professional articles and am trying to write a novel) -Travel (obviously!) -Sailed a bit -Did some Krav Maga andMuay Thai -I love food and trying new flavours, tastes and dishes
