Overview
About Me
Hi there! I'm Mája, a Czech girl who loves drama and everything theater related!
I’m a bit of an introvert, but with the right company, I can be super outgoing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing gave me the opportunity to meet people I would never have met in my everyday life in Czechia. I love the idea of people helping each other — thanks to CS, I could finally start seeing the world.
Interests
One of my biggest passions is movement. I love being active in any way — walking, dancing, the gym, rollerblading, everything. Lying in bed doing nothing? Naaaah, so boring!
This also describes my personality: I can’t stay in one place for too long. Routine bores me, so I love changing places and traveling as much as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC
Reggae and techno are my life. Most days, you’ll catch me strolling through the city with my headphones, vibing in my own world.
BOOKS
Can’t pick up just a few favorites—I read everything from psychological and historical novels (The Book Thief, The Storyteller, House Rules) to Harry Potter, which is definitely the best series ever.
MOVIES
Lately I’ve been loving bad D-movies like Sharknado or 2-Headed Shark Attack—can’t get enough of them!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hitchhiked through Europe (Germany, France, Andorra, Spain, Gibraltar, and Portugal) — no hotels, no hostels. Just 6 incredible weeks, almost 7,000 km, all by hitchhiking.
Almost fell off a bridge once, but my strong arms saved me. Ask me to show you the scar on my leg.
Lived and worked twice as an animator in Greece — Zakynthos and Crete. Such an amazing experience!
Lived, studied, and worked in Oslo for a year. I totally fell in love with Norway and can’t wait to go back.
Teach, Learn, Share
Get ready to learn some Czech — probably one of the craziest European languages when it comes to grammar.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Long discussions about basically anything, sharing travel stories, teaching you some Czech, and giving you insight into theatre and drama.
Countries I’ve Visited
Andorra, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
