CURRENT MISSION Meet Great people and learn about local culture while at home and abroad ABOUT ME I've done a fair amount of travelling (Fiji, Japan, Oz, Thailand, Southern Africa, North America, Belize, Carribben). I absolutely love meeting new people, especially who come from a different country, culture, who speak a different language, etc. I am interested in how to best progress as a humanity, but question it's feasibility. Don't know if I'm an optimist, skeptic or realist; I suspect a mix of all 3! PHILOSOPHY Think globally, act locally (cheesy, I know, but it seems to fit into my life at the moment. . .)

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Got stuck at the border between Mexico and Belize at night as I was trying to make it to Belize city but there were no buses. As I stood contemplating my options 9or lack thereof) a Belizean woman of my age holding a baby approached me and asked if I was lost. I said "well, ummm, not really...but, kindof...yeah, I guess.." We talked for a few minutes. She told me she was waiting for her father was dropping something off on the other side of the border and would be back to pick her up, and did I want to go to their house for the night. I said yes, and spent the night in a village of 10 families, slept a great night after a tour of the village complete with dinner and beers!
