Hello, fellow wanderluster! My name is Mackenzie McIntyre and I'm currently on a trek throughout the globe.

Over one year, I traveled extensively throughout Eastern Europe, staying in hostels and working through Workaway. Now I am in Central and South America alongside my boyfriend and looking to add some new adventures through Couchsurfing! Whether it's a coffee break or a week-long stay together, I want to connect, learn, and have some fun.

I love new people in new towns, and having both together is the best combination. I don't just want to learn the streets names and tourist places (though those are great, too!), but want to get a vibe of each city. I want to learn about local life and exchange the knowledge I have about life in the USA.

Also, I am learning Spanish and will take any chance possible to increase my knowledge.

Oh, wow.

I read ravenously! And, if you'd like, I love swapping books with people I meet on the road. Unfortunately, I can only read English, but if there's the chance, a good book swap has proven to be a great way to discover new areas. My current favorites: Milan Kundera, Chimamanda Adichie, Jean-Paul Sartre, Anton Chekhov, Victor Hugo

I also have never found music I've disliked! Every melody has its special story and I'd love to hear yours :) If you have Billy Joel on tape, we will be quick best friends, I am positive. I'm also a sucker for classical music and a good piano tune: Tchaikovsky and Einaudi are my favorites. And of course, I'm always down to bop to jazz and pop music!The list of my favorite artists grows longer each day.

Gotten on the wrong plane! I was supposed to fly from Moscow to Athens, but I landed in Warsaw. Stayed in Poland for two months. Some accidents are destiny. Let me stay with you and I will tell you the full story :)
